SOME KEY
QUOTATIONS FROM THE KORAN
THE ARCHITECTURE OF FEAR IN LIFE
Satan causes people to fear his agents.
But have no fear of them. God creates you weak. After weakness he gives you strength. 30:54 Countless are the beasts that cannot fend for themselves. Just as God takes care of them, so he can take care of you. 29:60 If you do not help the prophet, God will help him as he did
when he was driven out of Mecca with only one other believer with him.
In the cave he said to his companion, "Do not despair.
God is with us." God
caused his peace to descend on him and sent to his aid invisible warriors, so
that he routed the unbelievers and exhalted the Word of God.
9:40
GOD DOES NOT NEED PEOPLE If
you turn away, God will replace you with other people.
You can do no harm to him.
11:57
A CORRECT ATTITUDE TO THE ORDEALS OF LIFE We
task not any soul beyond its capabilities. 23:62
Endure with fortitude whatever happens to you. 31:17 We arrange unhappy events among mankind so that God may
test the true believers and select some of you to become martyrs.
He does not love the evil doers.
He will test the faithful and will annihilate the infidels. Did you really
believe that you would enter paradise before God tested your commitment to fight
for him and to endure suffering with fortitude? God loves the steadfast. 3:142
THE IMPORTANCE OF SACRIFICE
You shall never be righteous until you give in alms what you truly cherish.
God knows what you give and how much it means to you.
3:92
A UNIVERSAL VISION OF WORLD RELIGIONS
Believers, Jews, Zoroasterians and Christians who believe in God and the
Judgement Day and who do good works shall surely be rewarded by God. 2:62
THE EVIL OF GREED AND THE IMPORTANCE OF CHARITY
Let those who hoard the wealth that God has given them never think that they
will benefit from it. It will bring
them nothing but evil. The
riches that they have hoarded will be their chains on Judgement Day. 3:180
JUSTICE AND VENGEANCE Each soul is the hostage of its own deeds. Those on the right hand will in their gardens ask the sinners: "What has brought you into hell?" They will reply: "We never prayed, nor did we feed the hungry. We engaged in vain disputes and denied the reality of Day of Judgement until the inevitable end overtook us." 74:42-47
Those who avenge themselves when wronged incur no guilt. 42:42
APPEARANCE AND REALITY IN WORLD HISTORY The works of the unbelievers are like ashes that the wind scatters on a stormy day. 14:18 RELATED LINKS Our Collection of Reports on Islam
